SCHOOL CHOIR

Our school choir is open to Years 3-6 and rehearses every Thursday after school.  It is led by Mrs Legg and Jamie Sperling.  Jamie is the Music Lead for 0-18s at All Souls Church and the Associate Music Director for Prom Praise for Schools.  He also works as a freelance choir director.  He has worked with the National Youth Choir of Great Britain and led choirs at the Royal Albert Hall.  We are really grateful for the time he gives up for our school choir and to All Souls Church for supporting the choir in this way.

The choir play a leading role in all of our annual church services at All Souls Church.  They have a particularly shining role in the Christmas and Easter services, where children from the choir lead the rest of the school in worship through Bible readings and songs.

In addition to these key events, the choir has also performed in the Royal Albert Hall as part of the Prom Praise for Schools event.  We have also performed in Sunday Christmas services at All Souls Church and were pleased to be invited to perform at a large LDBS event, too.  Carol singing at John Lewis is a calendar highlight, too! We also like to end each year with a concert for the school and a celebratory trip to the theatre to inspire our own music-making.

Choir is free of charge but we do expect high commitment to attend weekly rehearsals. We welcome new members at the start of every term. If you are interested in joining the choir, please speak to Mrs Legg.
